Big Bocs Bwyd

The Big Bocs Bwyd scheme has been rolling out across schools since 2021. Beginning at one school in South Wales, Welsh Government offered funding to schools across South Wales and the Valleys area, to enable the scheme to grow.

Llantarnam Primary Big Bocs Bwyd is a work in progress, with our ultimate aim to offer our families, and the community a central hub to obtain environmentally sustainable goods, through refills and eco friendly supplies.

While Big Bocs Bwyd is a community endeavour, it is primarily and educational tool - we aim to help teach our children the difference between sustainable and non-sustainable resources and why it's important to do our bit for environmental protection for our local area, and the planet.

We have begun our Big Bocs Bwyd journey by opening up for event days, with a plan to start opening our refill shop on a weekly basis from September 2024.
