Llantarnam Community Primary PTA Mission Statement
To connect the home, school and community and to enrich every child’s learning experience
Our PTA has two main objectives:
-
To enhance relationships between the staff, parents and others associated with the school.
-
To engage in activities which raise funds to support the school and our children.
What does the PTA do?
The PTA will raise funds for equipment or resources the school would like to purchase. Sometimes this will be as a result of the children asking for something; at other times it will be for resources to improve a particular area of the curriculum or school environment. In the main, the PTA funds are for the ‘extras’ not provided for by the school budget, that make our children’s learning experiences so much more fulfilling and exciting.
How we raise funds:
We run family activities:
Quiz nights, Bingo nights, Summer fetes, Christmas Fairs
We run fun activities for the pupils:
Movie nights, discos, scavenger hunts, mufti days
Mother’s Day and Father’s Day gift sales
What we raise funds for:
We help fund field trips to significantly cut the expense to families
Purchase Year 6 ties
Gift a Crème Egg to all pupils at Easter
Easter bonnet competition prizes
Selection boxes to all pupils at Christmas
We support other School groups who request financial donations
Every year the PTA raises funds to use towards school improvements to enhance our children’s education experience and the school’s facilities. In the past money has been used to support technology in the school, Read Write Inc resources, stationery etc.
